I also attempted to mimic their environment by using a personal computer on guest network and I was able to join this meeting AND see the PowerPoint I reinstalled this clients Lync plug-in and sent them a new meeting invite but this did not resolve the issue. The issue is when our associate shares a PowerPoint (via Desktop, PowerPoint presentation, and/or program options) through Skype the external client cannot see the PowerPoint. Is able to Join Skype Meeting from their Outlook and successfully enter the room because they installed the Lync Web App Add-on as well.
We sent a Skype meeting invite via Outlook to an external client and they accepted/joined this Skype meeting and loaded into Skype for Business Web App. The participant who currently has control sees the notification You are in control.My organization leverages Skype for Business for internal and external conferencing. In the dialog box that displays a choice to run or save the plug-in file, click Run, and follow the prompts to install the plug-in. While sharing is in progress, a sharing icon is displayed in the top part of the meeting stage. Make sure to select the option to install the Lync Web App plug-in. Important: Lync for Mac 2011 users and Macintosh users running Lync Web App can share only their desktops, not open programs.
